Continuing on … I’ve already posted Marvel Stage Cosplayers, Sexy Cosplayers, Wonder Woman Cosplayers, and Adorable Cosplayers. This is the bulk of the rest of them. I took these pictures throughout the 4-day SDCC event hoping to capture 1,000 unique cosplayers. I didn’t quite get there but I do have over 600.
In some cases, there are multiple pictures of the same cosplayer in the gallery. But, there are a lot of pictures of multiple cosplayers in the same picture. I stopped counting but I think I have well over 400 distinct cosplayers. Again, apologies for the crappy quality of many of the pictures. My phone’s camera is less than stellar.
Anyway, it was amazing to see the diversity, creativity and hilarity of so many people. Screw Halloween. Comic-Con is the place to be for fantastic costuming.
From what I observed, this was a popular year for Iron Man and Dr. Who. There were a lot fewer Slave Leias, Stormtroopers, and Catwomen than I’ve seen in the past. Thank goodness. There were still a bunch of cosplayers dressed as Harley Quinn, Wonder Woman, Batman, and Spiderman. Deadpool popped up frequently as did Captain America. I should have caught on to the Steampunkers sooner. The style is kind of growing on me. Ah, well. Next year.
