Wonder Con is gone-gone!

Wonder Con comic book conventionAnd we don’t care. We weren’t able to get away from work. Combining this missed opportunity and the fact that we didn’t get Comic-Con tickets has made us a bit sour. Feh.

» Michael Golden – famous for … making us fall in love with his art and then disappointing us by not doing much that we liked after the ‘Nam

» Joe Hill – famous for … being Jonah’s brother and slipping in and out of a coma; the ghost of Will Eisner lives within him

» Richard Kadrey – famous for … not showing up at the Con

» Jim Lee – famous for … wasting his talents at Image

» Mike Mignola – famous for … drawing this picture

» Steve Niles – famous for … scaring the hell out of us

» Eric Powell – famous for … being the son of Spike Milligan

» Bob Schreck – famous for … being some sort of comic book overlord that can create and destroy people’s careers with an eye twitch

» Fiona Staples – famous for … being the second most famous Fiona

» Richard Starkings – famous for … creating Comics San Serif and destroying the typed word

» J. Michael Straczynski – famous for … writing stuff about Superman so we’re going to quickly move on to the next guy

» Mark Waid – famous for … writing one hell of a lot of comic book stories

» Marv Wolfman – famous for … creating Bullseye. Thank you, Marv.

» Renae De Liz – famous for … keepin’ it real

» Rebekah Isaacs – famous for … being a young up-and-comer and … surprise, owning a cat

» Carol Lay – famous for … storming the rock of Gibraltar

» Todd Nauck – famous for … being the only comic book artist ever invited to the White House (but couldn’t make it because he had the flu)

» Humberto Ramos – famous for … being the only hispanic artist that has ever worked as a penciler on Amazing Spider-man #650

» Scott Snyder – famous for being the last person to see Joe Chill alive, which raises important questions

» Ryan Sook – famous for … drawing every comic book that Rick Santorum owns
