10,000 pinkies in the air

We crossed the 10,000 page view mark sometime today. Since we started Comics A-Go-Go! about six months ago, we didn’t have any expectations of that kind of activity. While our milestone is not a large amount by any serious blog standards, we’re still amused. Since we’re averaging 150+ a day now, we have to wonder who is reading and why. We’re especially surprised at how many readers we get from Western Europe. Seriously? Or did you arrive by mistake? Since many of you stick around to read more than one page during  your visit, you are either hoping to find porn somewhere or you can’t figure how to exit. Either way, stay anyway. Be nourished.

We welcome your comments on what you like, don’t like, wish you could read, and hope you never read. The Comics A-Go-Go! experience is as democratic as the Democratic People’s Republic of North Korea.

In recognition of this auspicious occasion, Todd McFarlane has been commissioned to honor our mighty blogging prowess. Here’s to the second 10,000. Cheers.

"Suck it Mom and Dad! Quit repressing me! I want to be different. Just like everybody else!" ... Wait, what?

Thank you Yuri Grabianko. You are our most frequent visitor. Yuri is the last remaining facilities guard at the Sergei Brukhonenko People’s Biologoical Research Plant in Kantubek, Uzbekistan. Apparently, Yuri has a lot of time on his hands. He enjoys James Bond novels and movies, and American comic books. He would like to meet Dutch or Finnish girls, and he works out daily. His favorite Uzbek food is Ivitma Palov but he misses reindeer cutlets and mama’s pickled beats. When he finishes his tour of duty, he hopes to return to Simagino to work in his brother Igorek’s repair shop until he has saved enough money to move to Helsinki. Where he goes from there, he cannot tell you yet, but his life is sure to be an adventure. Yuri, we salute you.
