Miami. Your Ami.

The staff of Comics A-Go-Go! Has escaped to Miami for the week and will have limited ability to post (unless we decide to finish some older drafts). Yes, yes. The world will proceed anyway, although the Republican caucuses may suspend their shenanigans until we are back. To be fair, they have been an easy target for the last little while so expect our mockery to escalate if we just can’t take any more. Too bad the Democrats have been so quiet. We are an equal opportunity rabble rousing lot and would like ever so much to make hay with all of the political tragicomic bruhaha we are bound to see amplify over the next few months.

Anyway, for the previous and next several days we have been and will continue to enjoy 80 degrees and a bit of fun in the bay. Remember how we told you that we’ve been performing a laughable practice of swimming laps in the pool with snorkels? A-ha!. Now it pays off, see? A method to our madness.

A couple of us have enjoyed reef snorkeling before so we know how awe inspiring the underwater world can be. One of our group (let’s call him Tiny Tim because he is neither tiny nor named any variation of “Tim”) has never been in the ocean other than diddling his piggies in San Diego’s Mission Bay for a day a couple of winters ago. It’s always fun to watch people experience wonder for the first time so we were excited today to go to Key Largo and boat out to the reef where we spent about an hour snorkeling. Pretty cool. Lots of barracuda, wrasses, parrot fish (several varieties), blue-striped grunts, butterflyfish, queen angelfish, some sort of pufferfish maybe, spadefish, goatfish, trumpetfish, and a nurse shark. The corral was vibrant and the weather was perfect.

And that beloved readers is it for today. God bless us every one. Amen and all that.

We like comics. And we like music. And we like movies. Pop culture is our game! But we also have a serious side. Current events, history, and politics are a part of the Comics A-Go-Go experience and we hope you find interesting things to read and look at while you traverse our website pages.
