Vernessa Mitchell – “Higher” (Steve Silk Hurley Mix)

Gospel R&B SingerMmmm. Kind of a music kind of night. Thinking about a song we enjoy.  In 1999, Steve Silk Hurley remixed “Higher” by Vernessa Williams and created this masterpiece. So soulful. So House. Hallelujah. Vernessa Williams is a Motown R&B/gospel singer that struck it big in the 1970’s and still makes her rounds on the glory-be circuit. “Higher” is one of her hit singles.

House TechnoSteve “Silk” Hurley is an all around music-industry professional but we like him best as a DJ. Predominantly popular in the 1980’s.
